Why EastEnders’ Adam Woodyatt and Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson aren’t in the I’m A Celebrity line-up

Last night this year I was a celebrity… Get me out of here! line up has finally been confirmed by ITV.

The 10 stars, including Richard Madeley and Frankie Bridge, were dressed in castle uniforms as they posed for their official photos for the ITV series.

However, there was a big question on everyone’s lips; where are Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson?

The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this year that the bosses of I’m A Celeb got not one, but two Soap Legends for the upcoming series.

And while they haven’t posed in their own red waistcoat and beanie yet, we can confirm they’re still on the lineup.

Both men will join the castle as late arrivals next week after the series begins – which will certainly guarantee some iconic first moments as they will undoubtedly have to take part in a Bushtucker trial as part of their entry.

Actor Ian Beale, Adam, 53, is EastEnders’ longest-serving actor and currently on an extended hiatus from the series.

And Simon, 47, played hapless Steve McDonald on Coronation Street for 32 years.

The two stars have secured one-off payments to take part in the gruesome reality show, which is being filmed in a castle in Wales instead of an Australian jungle for the second time due to the ongoing Covid pandemic.

Meanwhile, eight more celebrities will enter the castle during this Sunday’s launch show alongside Madeley and popstar Frankie.

They are football icon David Ginola, Dame Arlene Phillips, former BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin and Danny Miller from Emmerdale.

Paralympian Kadeena Cox, Olympic diver Matty Lee, music producer Naughty Boy and Radio 1 DJ Xtra Snoochie Shy round out the lineup.
