A drop in temperatures, caused in particular by “the passage of a British disturbance”, will lead to the arrival of “polar” cold in France from this weekend.
According to La Chaîne Météo, the shift of the anticyclone currently over the North Atlantic will cause “a descent of polar air” which will rush into the country by the northern half, causing temperatures to drop from 3 to 6 ° C. between Saturday afternoon and Monday afternoon. Météo France also announces “temperatures below normal for the season”. Even if the north of France will be the first affected, from Monday, the cold will be felt everywhere.
The drop in temperatures that will therefore begin this weekend should continue at the beginning of next week. If these forecasts are confirmed, France could then experience its first real winter streak of the season.
– Lower temperatures from Sunday (maximum below 10 ° C);
– More uncertain evolution from 25/26. The cold air could be accentuated at altitude with an even more winter feeling. pic.twitter.com/uIh3bRLdFd

Towards the 1st time episode #cold winter this fall in France? The question arises in view of the latest models: polar air could concern us at the end of November, with temperatures possibly close to full winter. It would be generally dry cold. pic.twitter.com/aF3dEkAW79

“This cold front will bring rain and a shift in the wind to the north and then northeast to the rear. The disturbance will sink into the Pyrenees on Monday and the cold air at altitude will invade the whole country, ”announces The Weather Channel in its forecast bulletin.
If it is not an exceptional cold spell, it will be enough to bring “the real first cold snap of autumn” for the week of November 21 to 28.
