What is the “French Sport Touch”?

The Minister Delegate in charge of Sports, Roxana Maracineanu, officially unveiled the “French Sport Touch”, a new coordination of French sport internationally.

A new tool at the service of French sport: the “French Sport Touch”. But what is it exactly? This collaborative space for exchanges and information sharing should allow, from the start of 2022, the implementation of several strategic programs in terms of sporting influence and cooperation, the hosting strategy for major events and the international impact of the economic sector of sport.

Paris 2024 in the sights

The “Federate to win” signature of the “French Sport Touch” illustrates this deep desire to do better together in the run-up to the Paris Games in 2024, and beyond. France will be particularly prominent in the coming years, with the organization of the Alpine Skiing World Championships in 2023, the Rugby World Cup, still in 2023, and of course the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.

France, host of major events

“It is by being united and focused on the same objective that French sport has achieved its greatest successes, like the victorious candidacy of France to host the 2024 Games in France”, assures Roxana Maracineanu. “It is in a spirit of conquest and cooperation that France reactivates this collaborative platform initiated by Valérie Fourneyron, which brings together the know-how and expertise of the State, the sports movement and companies in our sector in order to keep France at the center of the world sporting scene beyond 2024. Land of host of major sporting events, France is today making an offer to the world to export its talents and support even more strongly the organization of major events beyond our borders. Through this coordinated approach, French sport also affirms its vision of a sport closely linked to questions of education, sustainable development and inclusion, its close link with the territories and the desire to promote its art of living and the quality of its infrastructure. “
