The agglomeration of Grand Chambéry financially supports the city of Chambéry (€ 820,000 in 2021) for the construction site of the new municipal stadium. Work began in January 2020 with the deconstruction of the old municipal stadium and is expected to end in December 2022.
Stadium grandstand – November 23, 2021
Expected for the end of 2022, the new municipal stadium in Chambéry will be completely renovated, in order to take into account the necessary modernization of the structure and the desire of SOC Rugby to be able to access Pro D2.
Indeed, the municipal stadium no longer corresponded to the standards of the French Rugby Federation. The evolution of the stadium will therefore allow SOC Rugby to be able to evolve into Pro D2 in the coming seasons.
The agglomeration of Grand Chambéry thus intervenes in support of the big sports clubs of the territory as well as for the sports facilities of community interest.

The new grandstand will accommodate 5,000 people against 1,200 for the old stadium.
The south stand will have 2,000 seats and the north stand will have 3,000 seats, on two levels.
On the spectator side, the new stadium will have 10 boxes, a shop and a modular reception hall.
The players will have a weight room, four changing rooms as well as all the rooms necessary for high-level sports.
The car park, located under the ground, with a capacity of 430 spaces, will provide additional parking in the north of the city, which was previously lacking.

The shared esplanade with the stadium’s aqualudic pool will facilitate access to this sports equipment.
The materials chosen fit perfectly into the past industrial universe, as well as in an aesthetic coherence with the entire district.
