Michelin launches the new Pilot Sport 5 tire


Michelin is launching its new t tyre, the Pilot Sport 5, intended for lovers of sports cars and high-performance sedans.

Firstly, on an aesthetic level, the design of the new Pilot Sport 5 tire has been designed to enhance vehicles thanks to a deep black velvet sidewall. He won, for this title, the 2021 winner prize awarded by The Contemporary Good Design Award, organized by Red Dot Award.

Designed to offer a unique combination of sports performance and longevity, it stands out as the best performing summer tire among its main competitors in terms of longevity for the sports category according to external tests carried out by DEKRA.

The Michelin launches the Pilot Sport 5 also promises precision and exceptional responsiveness in the trajectories thanks to the Dynamic Response technology which has already proven itself in competition. A hybrid aramid and nylon ply surrounds the entire structure of the tire to guarantee optimum transmission of driving instructions and further increase driving pleasure.

Dual Sport Tread Design technology optimizes tread pattern, with more wet performance on the inside and dry performance on the outside.

After the MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 tyre, acclaimed by users and which has won numerous awards, the MICHELIN Pilot Sport 5 tire has been available in Europe in 50 sizes from 17 to 21 inches since 1 January.
