Internship offer: Marketing and communication assistant – OC Sport

OC Sport Outdoor (based in Paudex in Switzerland) has a portfolio of several running and triathlon events around Lake Geneva and works for consulting missions with brands, communities and other event organizers.

You will join the team, in charge, among other things, of the organization of the following events:

– Generali Genève Marathon: 14-15 never 2022
– La Tour Genève Triathlon: July 16-17, 2022
– International Mont-Blanc Triathlon: August 20-21, 2022
– Run Mate: September 24-25, 2022
– Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon: October 30, 2022
– 20km from Geneva by Genève Aéroport: November 6, 2022


Within the communication and marketing department, you will work in close collaboration with the press, media and digital relations managers in order to assist them in all aspects of their missions, namely: relations with the press, the media, influencers, management social networks and websites, management of all promotion and recruitment actions (digital or not), database and CRM management, production and distribution of media content.

Note: this function requires travel during national and international events. You will need to be available to work during the weekends of these events.

Your main tasks are:

Content production and dissemination
– E-mailing: drafting and distribution of recruitment newsletters / emailing
– Translation of content from English to French, or from French to English on all marketing and communication media (websites, newsletters, social networks, etc.)
– French and English website: support for managing editorial, photo and video content using the CMS
– Support for the drafting of press kits and programs for press trips
– Social networks: management of social network pages, creation of content to recruit participants, planning, publication, analysis of statistics, etc.

Platform update
– Uploading content to the media platform (Dropbox)
– CRM (Arenametrix): management and updating of database contacts, list management

– Support for the recruitment of groups (companies, sports clubs, etc.) by email, phone or physical appointments
– Preparation and organization of promotional tours
– Support for the management of online competitions
– Digital marketing: support for the implementation and monitoring of all digital marketing actions (launch of campaigns, monitoring, reporting, analysis)
– Prospecting for new media and influencers

– Support for the management of communication providers
– Social media management
– Support for press trips (influencers and journalists)
– Participation in the marketing and communication report
– Support for the compilation of media coverage (press articles, social networks)

NB: This list is not exhaustive and you may need to perform other tasks


– Be an EU or Swiss national or have an appropriate work permit
– Fluency in French and English is essential
– Excellent writing skills
– Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and able to communicate effectively internally and externally
– Good knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Strava, etc.)
– Strong interest in digital
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs essential (knowledge of Mac beneficial)
– Good knowledge of graphic design software is a plus.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Motivated, creative, curious, flexible personality who has an eye for detail
– Ability to work alone and in a team
– Interest in outdoor sports, especially running and triathlon
– Driving license compulsory


– Monthly allowance: 800CHF (gross before any deduction for federal and state taxes, insurance)
– 10 days of paid leave on the basis of a 6-month internship
– Advantages: OC Sport covers the entire cost of the CFF half-fare. This card entitles you to a 50% reduction on all Swiss public transport (to benefit from a CFF card, you must live in Switzerland)
– Office hours are between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Some periods will require working evenings and weekends
– Travel and accommodation expenses are covered for authorized business trips, in accordance with the policies in force
