Behind the main sports franchises, many industrial groups and other funds little known to the general public are pulling the strings of business and trying to drive up the valuation of their assets.
Based on the estimated value of the various sports properties (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, soccer, etc.) the American media Forbes has just published its ranking of the most valuable sports empires.
For his study, Forbes took into account only persons or entities with a majority stake in at least one professional team. A ranking obviously dominated by American players. The opportunity to (re)discover the main players in sport business, especially across the Atlantic.
