SM Caen. What changes after the rout in Dinan?

Caleb Zady Sery was aligned on the left in the “titular” team during the internal opposition.

As usual, the session of this Wednesday, November 17, 2021 was devoted to an internal opposition. It took place in the form of a triangle with, obviously, a team A, a team B and a team C. The reserve had therefore been invited.

It was an opportunity to observe the possible changes after the rout suffered by Stade Malherbe Caen on Saturday November 13, 2021 in the Coupe de France in Dinan-Léhon (N3). However, the lessons remain very partial, on the one hand because the team expected to start on Wednesday is not always 100% the one that plays on Saturday, on the other hand because some players were not able to take part. to debates.

Mehdi Chahiri (adductors) and Benjamin Jeannot (knee) are injured. Ali Abdi, who remained on the bench in Tunisia’s two matches, had not yet returned. Alexandre Mendy was content to trot. On the other hand, Johann Lepenant and Zeidane Inoussa, also in selection the previous weekend, took part normally in the day’s training.

There was not the shadow of a defense to five, adopted against Amiens then Dinan without great conviction, in the system of Stéphane Moulin. On the sides, Hugo Vandermersch was on the right and Aloys Fouda on the left… awaiting Ali Abdi’s return. In central defense, the Rivierez-Cissé pair were renewed.

In front of her, we found the precious Franklin Wadja, in a three-way environment with Johann Lepenant and Jessy Deminguet. Without Alexandre Mendy or Mehdi Chahiri, Andréas Hountondji was at the forefront and Caleb Zady Sery on the left in the first match of the mini-tournament. Nuno Da Costa was on the right.

The “B” team was made up of players from the first team playing little at present (Prince Oniangué, Yoël Armougom, Anthony Gonçalves, Steve Shamal…) and young people rather in charge of the reserve (Yannis Clémentia, Loup Hervieu, Yliès Najim, Zeidane Inoussa, Evens Joseph…).

In “C”, there were some pros (Sullivan Péan, Jason Ngouabi and Vladislav Molchan) as well as reservists (Diabe Bolumbu, Mario Fortunato, Luca Boudonnet, Pierrick Mouniama, Thomas Raimbault, Clarence Awoudor).

Shaken by his surprise elimination from the Coupe de France with a National 3 team, Caen will have to react on Saturday, November 20, 2021 against Paris FC (7:00 p.m.). Especially since Orelsan will be there …
