In 2019, he also shared a photo of himself from an accounting textbook, begging his image to stop being used. “PLEASE STOP USING MY FACE FOR YOUR ACCOUNTING DOCUMENTS !!” I HAVE BEEN ACCOUNTANT FOR 9 MONTHS. I WAS ALWAYS THERE AND HATED EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY AT WORK, ”he said, adding,“ That doesn’t mean that bookkeeping isn’t a perfectly valid activity for some people! Live your best life !! ”

He’s an author.

Simu’s Memories We Were Dreamers: An Immigrant Superhero Origin Story is slated for release in 2022. In the book, he details his own story of landing a role in Marvel and growing up torn between Canadian and Chinese cultures.
