The three main actresses of the series And Just Like That, the continuation of the phenomenon Sex and the City, responded for the first time to the rape and sexual assault accusations against their colleague Chris Noth, the famous “Mr. Big”, by saying they supported the women who spoke out against him. “We are deeply sad to learn of the allegations against Chris NothSarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis said in a short statement posted Monday night on social media.

We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be very hard to do and we salute them for it“, added the three actresses. Chris Noth was initially charged with rape and assault by two women whose accounts were published on December 16 in The Hollywood Reporter.

One of them says she was raped by Mr Noth, now 67, in 2004 at the actor’s apartment in West Hollywood. The other said he went on a date with him in New York in 2015. He then invited her to his apartment, where she claims she was assaulted. A third woman then reported sexual assault to the Daily Beast in 2010.

The actor has categorically denied the accusations and questioned when to make them public. The first two accusers explained that the publicity surrounding the revival of “Sex and the City“on HBO Max had”wake up painful memories“, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Chris Noth recently found himself propelled to the front page of the American media after the revival of the series and the death of his character on a stationary bike in the first episode.
