Napoli eliminate Leicester, Real Sociedad hit PSV / C3 / Summary / SOFOOT.com

Great beneficiary of Leicester’s defensive mistakes this Thursday evening, Napoli qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League after an offensive festival (3-2). At the same time, Spartak Moscow both dominated its subject in Warsaw and had a serious blow in stoppage time (1-0), to better finish in front of the Parthenopei. PSV, meanwhile, took their feet in the carpet in San Sebastián against Real Sociedad (0-3) and found themselves transferred to the Europa League Conference.

They were all in a position to qualify directly for the knockout stages or the play-offs in this group C. And in this game, the lucky ones are called Napoli (second) and Spartak Moscow (first). In the fiery duel, but under the hail between Naples and Leicester therefore, it was the Parthenopei who took over (3-2), worn by a double of their little Macedonian prince Elif Elmas (24e and 53e), which has, like Adam Ounas entry (4e), took advantage of technical errors and childish placement of Foxes. Special mention, all the same, to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, author of a pure recovery for the honor (33e).

While Jonny Evans and Cağlar Söyüncü took to the water at the foot of Vesuvius, the Legia Warsaw, relegated to Ekstraklasa, did not roll over anyone. Blame it on a multitude of inaccuracies against a Spartak Moscow in Europe mode, who came to Poland to confirm his success against Napoli (0-1). It was Zelimkhan Bakaev who took advantage of Artur Boruc’s strawberry exit to roll up the left foot (17e) and thus reverse Leicester in the Europa League Conference, while forcing the band to Spalletti to go through dams. The red and white people will however be able to pay a stay in the Seychelles to Aleksandr Selikhov, imperial when he had only one stop to make: in front of Tomáš Pekhart, on penalty, after additional time (90e+8).

In group D, Eintracht Frankfurt secured the direct qualifying spot for the eighth by gleaning a draw (1-1) at Fenerbahçe’s Şükrü Saracoğlu, which ends up third. The Turks could not hope for better anyway, because despite their defeat on the lawn of Antwerp (0-1), the Olympiakós of Mathieu Valbuena and Yann M’Vila was already guaranteed to play the play-offs.

At Anoeta, PSV only needed a draw to finish second in Group B behind Monaco and reach the Europa League play-offs. Except that Mikel Oyarzabal came out of the woods for Real Sociedad, by unlocking his European counter version 2021-2022, first thanks to a perfect penalty (43e), then by winning his face-to-face with Joël Drommel (62e). Not bad for a 250e with colors white-blue, while Alexander Sørloth even added a third (3-0). Olivier Boscagli’s PSV will console themselves in the Europa Conference League, where we will also find Sparta Prague, winner of Brøndby (2-0) in the match for third place in Group A, dominated by Lyon. Praline lovers will particularly remember the small free kick brushed by Dávid Hancko, for the opening of the Prague score (43e).
