Samsung Galaxy S21: the most affordable that does not lack quality

9 /10

Samsung Galaxy S21

As the name suggests, the S21 is the base version of the lineup and the most affordable. It has a plastic back, a small concession not to increase the bill, but despite this, its finishes are no less elegant. It is very pleasant in the hand, in particular thanks to its weight of only 169 grams and its compact size. There is a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED panel and an adaptive refresh rate at 120 Hz. Equipped with a powerful Exynos 2100, 5G compatible and coupled with 8 GB of RAM, the smartphone runs greedy applications and 3D games without issue. On the photo side, it is not left out either with its triple photo sensor with great versatility. In terms of autonomy, the S21 can last all day, or even longer if use is moderate. Fast charging and wireless charging are obviously there.

What to remember from the Galaxy S21

  • A neat design despite a plastic back
  • A beautiful AMOLED + 120 Hz screen
  • A quality photo module

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is highly recommendable, and even more so at the moment, since its price is 679 euros, instead of 859 euros.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus: a glass back for a more premium effect

9 /10

Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus

With a matte glass back, the S21 Plus benefits from a premium finish that has its charm. It has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD + panel (protected by Gorilla Glass 7) and adaptive 120 Hz mode. Samsung does not stop there, the S21 Plus is powered by the Exynos 2100 chip, 5G compatible and coupled with 8 GB of RAM. This is a configuration almost equivalent to what Qualcomm offers with its Snapdragon 888, even if the latter is a little ahead in the benchmarks. But thanks to its 5-nanometer engraving, this chip offers very high-level performance and makes demanding applications and 3D games run smoothly. This last point also applies to the user experience, which is also very pleasant in One UI. The Samsung Galaxy S21 + should even soon receive the Android 12 update with version 4 of its interface. On the photo side, the quality is obviously there, with many possibilities such as videos in 4K / 60 fps on all sensors. It has the same versatility as the S21 with its triple photo sensor. In terms of autonomy, the S21 Plus can last all day with its battery, even with fairly active use (120 Hz). Fast charging and wireless charging are obviously there.

What to remember from the Galaxy S21 Plus

  • The 6.4-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display
  • The good quality and versatility of the camera
  • An Exynos 990 almost as powerful as a Snapdragon 888

Instead of 949 euros, the Samsung Galaxy S21 + is currently on sale at 799 euros on the RED by SFR online store, as well as on the Cdiscount site.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: the most premium of the range

9 /10

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Among these three smartphones, the S21 Ultra is none other than the most upscale and clearly the best from the South Korean giant. It offers a different design compared to the other two in the range. It has a 6.8-inch curved screen with Quad HD definition at 3200 x 1440 pixels and an adaptive 120 Hz mode. It is also possible to use the S Pen on this smartphone. One of the strengths of this Ultra model is its photo module. The possibilities are numerous and the quality is simply excellent. We find the same Exynos 2100 SoC engraved in 5 nm as its little brothers, but with 12 GB of RAM instead of 8. This configuration is the assurance of having a powerful smartphone for a very long time. The S21 Ultra has a large 5,000 mAh battery to be prepared for all eventualities. Fast charging and wireless and reverse charging are obviously there.

What to remember from the Galaxy S21 Ultra

  • The large 120Hz Quad HD AMOLED display
  • The power of the Exynos 2100 + 12 GB RAM combo
  • An excellent camera (108 megapixels, 100x zoom, etc.)

Instead of 1,259 euros in normal times, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is now available The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra at 999 euros instead of 1,259 euros, at Darty, as well as on Electro Dépôt, Red-By-SFR and Shopping street.
