For the LR Congress, Guillaume Peltier chooses Eric Ciotti

POLITICS – In June, Guillaume Peltier had a crush on Xavier Bertrand, then considered to be “the only one capable of helping the right wing”. At the start of the school year, some announced it was close to attempting the Éric Zemmour adventure. Finally, it is on Eric Ciotti, candidate for the LR Congress, that the deputy of Loir-et-Cher has set his sights. An announcement made this Saturday, November 27 in The Parisian. “I have always opposed the primary which carries the poison of the inter-self: it was therefore logical that I was withdrawn”, he explains, after several weeks of silence.

“Now this congress is here. I particularly appreciate two personalities: Xavier Bertrand for his ability to beat Emmanuel Macron and Eric Ciotti for loyalty to the strong right that I founded ”, continues the vice-president of the Republicans, who prefers to decide to give weight to the hard line embodied by the deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes. “So I decided to bring my sponsorship and vote in the first round for Eric Ciotti. The higher its score, the more the Republican right will open up to all right-wing voters, ”explains Guillaume Peltier, without speaking out for the second round.

A statement of support greeted by the first interested on Twitter. “You embody loyalty to Sarkozy, a loyal, strong and popular right which is the epicenter of our political family”, replies Eric Ciotti in particular.

“Right outside the walls”

If he swears that it is not about a reversal of jacket – “Xavier Bertrand chose the path of the Congress, it was not the case this summer” – the deputy of Loir-et-Cher considers that his counterpart in the Alpes-Maritimes is able to cast a wider net than the LR voters alone. “France is on the right as never before: there will be no recovery without the republican right but there will be no lasting victory without the voters of the right ‘outside the walls’”, he insists, while Eric Ciotti multiplies the very right-wing proposals, from the right of blood to national priority.

And this former National Front to clarify: “I no longer wish to seal with the voters of Eric Zemmour and Marine Le Pen. How can we claim to repair France if we put aside 40% of the French? ”. This has the merit of clarity.
