Elizabeth II weakened: the Queen did not attend Christmas mass

It is an absence that will certainly worry. According to the tabloid The Mirror, Her Majesty Elizabeth II skipped her traditional Christmas mass this Saturday, December 25.

Another tradition that she did without. Concerned about the spread of the Omicron variant, the government inspired Her Majesty Elizabeth II to take a radical decision to preserve the members of his family. His Royal Highness has thus given up his traditional family meal preceding the Christmas celebrations. Another habit to which she did not comply in this year 2021: her departure for her home in Sandringham, where she usually celebrates Christmas, never took place. But this Saturday, December 25, and while the British were able to attend his annual speech from their screens, the monarch skipped another ritual.

According to the British tabloid The Mirror, she does not would not have gone to Saint George’s Chapel from Windsor Castle, where she took refuge in 2020 at the start of the health crisis. However, she has the habit of attending a morning mass every Christmas when she is in Norfolk, as are other members of the royal family accustomed to join her. Moreover, if Her Majesty Elizabeth II was not seen at the chapel, her eldest son Prince Charles did not disassemble. He represented the Crown with his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, as well as his son, Prince William, himself accompanied by Kate Middleton.

Her Majesty Elizabeth II: her unexplained absence

Deprived of her daughter, Princess Anne, Her Majesty Elizabeth II was entitled to a singular Christmas on this Saturday, December 25, 2021, eight months after the disappearance of her husband, Prince Philip. But what to think of this absence? Because it has not been explained and could well worry more than one. Especially since the sovereign was plagued by some health problems in October 2021, when she was hospitalized. Asked about the reasons for his absence from the Saint-George chapel, Buckingham Palace simply said that the case was private. Would His Highness have simply chosen to be cautious, as she was able to do in 2020 by renouncing a first time at his Christmas massl because of sanitary restrictions?
