The 43-year-old started his collection in 2005, after the remake of Johnny Depp.

But his obsession started when he was a kid watching the original, with Gene Wilder.

Now he has over 850 items including Depp’s Glasses, Wilder’s Edible Flower Tea Mug, Eternal Gobstopper, and Golden Ticket.

Nick, operations coordinator at Chester Zoo, said: “I keep them in the spare bedroom of the house that I share with my husband, Donny.

“He doesn’t mind as long as it’s all in one room. This is called the Wonka Wing.

He says he bought Wonka Bar – his prized possession – after meeting Ms Cole at a convention in 2014.

Nick said: “Julie said she gave it to me because I would cherish it. I don’t think there is anything like Willy Wonka.
