Princess Dragon is a nice animated film just released in theaters this Wednesday, December 15. Directed by Jean-Jacques Denis and Anthony Roux, Princesse Dragon is a project carried by Gebeka Films & Ankama Animations. A film made in France, therefore, which seduces by the quality of its production. Poil was born to a Dragon father at the same time as her two brothers. A halftone hatch when her powerful father, guardian of priceless treasure, discovers his humanoid appearance. The terrible Dragon will then deliberately ignore his little offspring …
But Poil loves adventure and won’t hesitate to go in search of new encounters. It is then that she will meet a young princess and will befriend her. Unfortunately, their fate will be confronted with the thirst for power of the King who will not fail to face the Dragon to recover his treasure.
If the scenario is as predictable as it is linear, the production is attractive and original. Princess Dragon remains a pretty tale for children, carrying a message of tolerance in the face of the other’s difference.
Poil is a little girl raised by a mighty dragon. But when her father has to pay the Witchcraft with her second most precious possession, it is Foil that he offers, plunging his daughter into infinite sadness and forcing her to flee the family cave. Poil then embarks on a journey to discover the world of men. In contact with them, she will learn friendship, solidarity, but also the greed that seems to eat away at men’s hearts.
