Bubble: after Attack on Titan, the director of the anime unveils his new film on Netflix

With an enticing first teaser, Bubble promises to be the next successful Japanese animated film. Behind this feature film hides a dream technical team, including the director of Attack on Titan.

Netflix has unveiled the first images of a new Japanese animated film that should grab the attention of fans of the genre. Scheduled for April 28, 2022 on the platform, Bubble plunges us into a world flooded with bubbles that have changed the laws of gravity, and more particularly in Tokyo, which found itself cut off from the world.

In this particular context, the Japanese city has become a playground for parkour enthusiasts who organize clashes. Everything changes when Hibiki, a young prodigy, is propelled out of his comfort zone but saved by Uta, a young girl with mysterious powers. Their meeting will lead them to a revelation that will change the world.

Besides this very enticing first teaser and an intriguing synopsis, the technical casting of Bubble is also a dream. The feature film is directed by Tetsurô Araki, known for his work on the series and films Attack on Titan and Death Note.

We owe the screenplay for Bubble to Gen Urobuchi (Mahou shoujo Madoka magica, Psycho Pass) and the character design to Takeshi Obata (Death Note). It is to the Wit studio, which notably worked on the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, that the animation of the film was entrusted. As for the soundtrack, Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Promare) was responsible for composing the music.

Finally, on the dubbing side, we find Mamoru Miyano (Death Note, The Seven Deadly Sins, Belle), Yuki Kaji (Attack on Titan, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure), Tasuku Hatanaka (My Hero Acadamia) and Jun Shison in the role of the hero Hibiki.
