A biogas plant delivered in Moret-Loing-et-Orvannne or a package processing platform in Montereau-sur-le-Jard. Here are the latest achievements of the company Elcimaï, based in Melun (Seine et Marne), specializing in IT and in the design and construction of professional buildings.
“Paradoxically, for the moment, we are not very active in Seine-et-Marne, underlines Christophe Chauvet, development director at Elcimaï Réalisation. We would like to develop our activity in the department in order to support the economic dynamism. ”
“Factory of the future”
Currently, the company is in talks with manufacturers for the design of a “factory of the future”. A pilot project that is planned in the Bois des Saints-Pères business park, straddling Cesson and Savigny-le-Temple, for an area of 22,000 m2 of buildings.
“It is a turnkey production site that is part of the industrial reconquest,” he explains. We have developed a process that identifies commonalities across industries and adapted premises that can adapt to any production business. “
The company had already worked on a project of its kind with the delivery of the largest Colissimo platform in France, in Montereau-sur-le-Jard. The imposing black and gold warehouse is also visible from afar with its area of 26,000 m2. The company had also applied for another large-scale project, that of the Melun station, but was ultimately not selected as part of the call for tenders, despite serious arguments to be made (read below below).
A proposal for the future district of Melun station …
If Elcimaï did not win the tender, the company had proposed a project for the redevelopment of the Melun station, as part of the work on the future exchange hub. ‘We responded to the global offer,’ recalls Christophe Chauvet. In its version, Elcimaï offered a hotel offer. ‘These were luxury apartment hotels with a social character,’ he explains.
An offer that targeted employees in mobility or for employees of companies contributing to Action Logement. The project also provided for a tertiary offer to accommodate a large company or small and medium-sized units. Finally, in its project, the company Elcimaï had imagined services at the foot of the building with co-working spaces or micro-crèches, but also a commercial catering offer (brewery and bakery) as well as a concierge and secure parking for bicycles.
Urban health and logistics projects
If the company saw its activity slow down during the health crisis – in particular with the extension of construction times – Elcimaï was quickly operational in terms of teleworking, since it has a technology and digital services branch. The company, which generated € 55 million in turnover in 2020, is already working on other projects, in Ile-de-France and in France.
“We work a lot on health issues, for example with consultations on laboratory projects in Ile-de-France, explains Christophe Chauvet. We are also involved in urban logistics projects: the activity is rich and we have a good level of orders. “
And the work of the company is praised: at the beginning of October, Elcimaï received the silver trophy during the Siati: the summit dedicated to real estate, regional planning and innovation. A reward obtained with the EPA Sénart for the factory project of the future which is due to see the light of day in Sénart. The Seine-et-Marne site is one of the 78 sites selected in France for industrial reconquest.
