While the Universal Exhibition has been animating Dubai’s hotel activity since October 1, its visitors have had the opportunity for a few days to discover a new brand in the busy Business Bay district. Which, in view of the diversity of the hotel offer already offered in the emirate, is ultimately quite rare. The brand Hyde Hotels therefore chose Dubai to make its debut outside the United States. This player in the contemporary hotel industry, which has a few establishments in Florida, was initially launched by the American group sbe, taken over in 2018 by Accor and integrated into the Ennismore joint venture, dedicated to the development of lifestyle hotels.

True to this positioning, this elegant hotel is distinguished by the diversity of culinary concepts offereds, in particular a Japanese restaurant, the Katsuya, and an oriental Mediterranean-inspired table, Cleo, or the Hudson Tavern bar in New York speakeasy style, all in spaces designed by South African Tristan Plessis. Also on the program, an exclusive swimming pool and a Cinq Mondes spa.

As to 276 rooms, all with balcony and designed by Italian designer Ciarmoli Queda, they come in many categories, ranging from Deluxe Hyde Out to executive and presidential suites to premium Hyde Away rooms with views of the Burj Khalifa. The Hyde Dubai also offers a 200 m2 meeting room that can accommodate up to 100 participants.

This latest development adds to Accor’s offer in the emirate, which already has a strong small fifty establishments while waiting for the next ones to come. Among the recently opened establishments, the month of October notably saw the appearance of the luxurious Raffles The Palm Dubai, a 389-room resort on the edge of a 500-meter private beach.

The French hotelier is obviously not the only one to continue its development in the emirate. While the German group Deutsche Hospitality expects the opening by the end of the year of a 138-room InterCity Hotel along the Dubai Canal in the Al Jaddaf district, Marriott recently unveiled a new project for its upscale lifestyle brand W. In addition to W Dubai The Palm, already open on the island of Palm Jumeirah, this new address will be located on the shoreline of Jumeirah Beach, in Mina Seyahi Bay and near Dubai Marina.

Expected next year, the future W Dubai – Mina Seyahi will offer 318 rooms, including 26 suites and one Extreme WOW suite. Its lifestyle spirit will be manifested by the presence of one of the brand’s signatures, namely a lively lobby, the W Lounge. This is complemented by a swimming pool, spa and upscale fitness center spanning two floors of the hotel. Note that Marriott International also saw the opening last October of a luxurious St Regis with 298 rooms in the heart of Downtown Dubai, on the canal.
