Château-du-Loir: Graphi Loir begins its digital transition | The mail

The society Graphiloir was born in 1990 in Chateau-du-Loir, under the impulsion of Jacques Coëffeteau. He had established the entity for professionals, within the historic building in the area of Mont sur Loir, not to mention the reprography store which was located in the city center.

In 2010, the company was acquired by Eric Veron. The latter, retiring, sold the company this year 2021 to Alexandre Ameslon, arrived last September 1 as CEO and manager of the company since October 1.

Route of the buyer

Originally from Le Mans, this 33-year-old man began his career in commerce working for a clothing brand, Viscount Arthur.

“Packaging and printing are closely linked”

His career then led him to work for Ford, as region manager for the spare parts part. Then returned to Le Mans as sales manager in packaging, for an international group, European leader, for more than 6 years.

The manager points out that “the packaging and printing professions are closely linked. We subcontracted printing to printers, which allowed me to acquire a general knowledge of this fascinating profession, where we start from a graphic design to obtain a paper outcome ”.

Other unit

Alexandre Ameslon will work with three employees, two graphic designers, one specialized in the paper part, Luc Coëffeteau, the other in signs and signage, Judicaël Ruiz, as well as an offset operator, Peter Tilling.

A unit was opened by the company at the beginning of 2019 on the former Harman site, “in order to save space in the historic premises, a complete move to the former Harman site is not due. everything planned, these are two separate sites ”specifies the buyer.


He salutes “a company recognized locally for its know-how, with a clientele very attached to local economic players. Many companies in the local area make us work, administrations, too. Being a medium-sized structure, we need to be responsive, to maintain the ability to be agile, to shake up our manufacturing schedule if necessary, the rigor and quality of the workforce in place allow it ”.

It is imperative for him, “to be able to respond quickly to a customer, to respond to a call for tenders or to a request for an estimate within 24 or 48 hours”.

The equipment fleet has been renewed over the past five years, recent equipment, which requires regular maintenance.

Two trades

Graphi Loir therefore now has two professions, historically, paper printing, card making, business cards, greeting cards, booklets, brochures, pockets, desk mats, etc.

Three years ago, a sign-signage section was added, “an area where we have growth to apprehend, customers no longer need to go to Le Mans to have their brand displayed on their vehicle, for example. example. Our customers are therefore local but also from Le Mans and Tours ”.

Current context

The company has had a very complicated last year due to the Covid, recording a loss of turnover and profit. “Our activity is very much linked to events, which was stopped for a whole year, the cultural seasons did not take place, our activity was directly impacted”.

Another concern that remains, the continuous increase in the cost of materials, ink, offset plate, paper, “for which our supplier announces a new increase of between 10 and 15%”.

Current projects

Nevertheless, Alexandre Ameslon has his eyes riveted on the future and has started a digital transition from Graphi Loir, “we are upgrading our internal software, the file. Google has been updated which has already enabled us to triple the number of visits to it (from 1,000 to 3,000 views per month), and we are going to professionalize our digital approach ”.

Visual identity

The boss set out to create a profile on Linked In, “To restore order to the visual identity of the company, and I hope our website will be online at the end of the year or at the beginning of next year.” This is the best way to publicize our activity and our know-how. It is important to bring a new digital and digital breath ”.
