After announcing that Princess Charlene of Monaco would not participate in Monaco’s National Day, Prince Albert gave more information on her state of health on Wednesday, November 17.

As Princess Charlene of Monaco returns to Monaco after eight long months in South Africa, she will ultimately not participate in the festivities of November 19 next. The Palace announced the news in an official statement: “Her medical career having been very trying in recent months (…) Princess Charlene will unfortunately not be able to participate this year in the National Day festivities alongside her family.“.

Monegasques, very many to wonder about the state of health of the former swimmer were able to learn more on Wednesday, November 17. Prince Albert of Monaco confided in Monaco-Morning. He explained : “She’s better, but she still needs rest and quietRather reassuring news concerning the mother of her twins, Jacques and Gabriella.

Albert de Monaco: “There is fatigue, not just physical”.

The Sovereign Prince of Monaco then explained that Princess Charlene is no longer at the Rock without revealing more about his place of rest: “It is not in the Principality, but we will be able to visit it very soon. I can’t tell you more out of discretion“.

So officially, the princess consort was the victim of a ENT infection, it could actually be an even more serious problem. Albert of Monaco did not want to go into details, but left in doubt. He said: “There is fatigue, not just physical, which can only be treated with a period of rest and follow-up“. A situation which could take longer than expected and which does not allow us to say whether Charlene of Monaco will be able to be present at the Christmas and end-of-year celebrations.
