Donny has showmanship in his blood, and his ability to entertain has remained timeless. He and his musically inclined siblings have been in show business for a long time.
The famous crooner was part of the famous Osmonds musical group in 1970, made up of his brothers and sisters Jimmy, Marie, Virl, Merrill, Alan, Jay and Wayne, all as talented as each other.
In addition to the musical group, Donny also had a hit variety show with his sister, Marie, called “Donny & Marie” in 1976. The duo’s performances were rewarded with numerous accolades for being outstanding performers.

In 2009, “Dancing with the Stars” crowned Donny as champion for the ninth season, with more than 37 million weekly viewers. Through his varied career choices, he has captivated many audiences.
He played the role of Gaston in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway and hosted two television series on the British channel. He also took part in the Concert for Diana, a benefit performance for the late Princess Diana.
After entertainment, he went into business. He launched a home furnishings line called Donny Osmond Home in 2013, with his longtime wife and former actress Debbie.
Donny has been married to Debbie for over 40 years. The proud husband said his family is his top priority and he is grateful to have a wife, who he describes as a ‘silent giant’. He stated :
“Show biz can be a very crazy life, but I found a wonderful stability in it, and that made all the difference.”
Donny was 19 when he married 18-year-old Debbie in 1978. He said his wife was an “amazing person” who was great to be around, and that if he hadn’t married her he would be a desaster.
Much of the showman’s success is attributed to his love for his wife and family. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Donny said he and Debbie appreciate kindness and forgiveness.
According to Donny, their religion emphasizes the importance of respect in their marriage since they are bonded for life. Donny says they are equals in the household, especially in decision making.
As well as maintaining equality and religious values in their union, Donny, who has been in the limelight for years, said he was keen to protect his family’s privacy.
The show master and his family have lived in different places in the past – in California, Toronto and Chicago. Born in Ogden, Utah, Donny moved to California when he was three years old.
After marrying Debbie, the couple stayed in Provo, Utah until 1985, then moved back to California. Due to Donny’s flourishing career, the couple moved again.
The couple moved to several locations in Toronto and Chicago while Donny starred in the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” They then decided to relocate to Provo.
In front of their house, there was a long alley, where the neighbors’ children gathered. Donny allowed children to express their creativity by drawing fun cartoons on the floor.
JUST OLD UNCLE DONNY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Some kids called the veteran singer “Uncle Donny.” Donny said he enjoyed his trips to the grocery store, where employees treated him like a friend. He spoke of their home:
“In the crazy world of show business, it’s so comforting to live with my family in a place where we can just be family.”
Donny said the people of Provo treated him and his family like ordinary neighbors. He is very reassured to know that their neighbors respect and value their privacy.
Donny enjoyed being a neighbor who could experience the benefits of living in the neighborhood and being part of the community. He considered Provo his “home base” for years to come.
In addition to Christopher, he and Debbie had other sons: Donald Jr, Jeremy, Brandon and Joshua.
Last year, Donny’s former Chicago home, a mid-century colonial-style home, sold for $1.18 million. He and Debbie lived there in the late 1990s before settling permanently in Provo.
DONNIE AND DEBBIE’S LOVE FOR HOME DECOR
While staying in Provo, Donnie and Debbie developed their love for home decorating. The global singing sensation said their interest started at the start of their marriage.
He added that decorating was more than just a hobby. Although he doesn’t have an eye for design, Donny said Debbie helps him, as she previously studied interior design.
This is also why they founded their home decor collection. Donny said improving the beauty of their home is something they can do for the rest of their lives.
As much as he’s proud of his creative wife, Donny is also the proud father of five boys. Besides Chris, he and Debbie have other sons, Donald Jr, Jeremy, Brandon and Joshua.
All the sons of the couple are happily married and exercise a liberal profession. Donny works in a public relations company, Jeremey is a physiotherapist and Christopher is a photographer.
Brandon has tried his hand at many trades. He works as an art director, publicist, photographer, musician and singer. Joshua works as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
