Taylor Lautner spoke with “Today’s Jason Kennedy” about his “Twilight” world fame, his break from acting, his recent engagement, and more.
Millions of people love dusk, including Taylor Lautneris the bride, Tay Dome, 24 years. The actor, 29, revealed to Jason Kennedy to Today Thursday, January 27 that his future wife loves the dusk franchise – but was a supporter of Robert Pattinsonby Edward Cullen on Taylor’s Jacob Black. “I’ll call him here. Taylor also spoke to Jason, 40, about worldwide relationships dusk fame and his decision to step away from acting in recent years. “Few things in life can happen overnight. Fame can,” he said. “It can also disappear overnight. When I was 16, 17, waking up, just trying to get out for a walk or a date, I have 12 cars in front of my house following me. At the time, it became frustrating. You just wanted to live a normal life. But when that’s taken away from you at all, you start to question yourself and you’re like, ‘Oh, don’t people care about me anymore?’ Taylor further explained that for 10 years he rarely went out to public places like the grocery store and movie theaters. “I went so many years without leaving my house, or if I did, hat, sunglasses. Just scared. It built something in me when I was scared to go out, I was super eager to go out.
After spending years living with her parents, Taylor found herself comfortable in her life. “It was necessary for me personally, so I feel so much better now than I have for the past 4-5 years,” he said. When asked if he wanted dusk fame never came, the actor replied, “Five years ago, I would have said maybe I wish I hadn’t gone through this. If you ask me now, I say no. I am happy because of what he taught me. It made me who I am right now. I am grateful. »

Taylor took a break from Hollywood after her roles in Run the tide and Scream Queens in 2016. While on reprieve, he met Tay through his sister, Makena Lautner. the Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl The star finally proposed to his girlfriend on Nov. 11, 2021, after three years of dating. “Can’t wait to spend forever with you @taydome,” Taylor wrote on Instagram after the engagement. “You love me unconditionally. You calm me down when I’m anxious. You make me laugh way too much. You make every day spent with you so special.
While Taylor has a wedding to plan, he’s also making a comeback in the sports comedy film Home team, in which he plays opposite Kevin James. The film begins streaming Friday (January 28) on Netflix.
