Revealed at a very young age thanks to her talents as a singer, Brandy Norwood signed her first contract with Atlantic Records at the age of 14. She made an international hit in 1998 with the hit The Boy Is Mine, sung in duet with Monica, for which the two artists won a Grammy Award.

The year before this discographic success, she was spotted by her idol Whitney Houston and won the title role of the musical film The Legend of Cinderella (available on Disney +), with the star of Bodyguard and Whoopi Goldberg.
