Frankie Bridge insists her streak was ‘the hardest I am a celebrity yet’, but admits producers handed over luxury items

FRANKIE Bridge insisted she was on the “hardest” series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! again.

The Saturdays singer, 32, came third in the latest installment of the ITV series, which ended on Sunday with Emmerdale star Danny Miller crowned the winner and Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson taking second place.

In qualifying for the final, she beat her husband, former footballer Wayne Bridge, who competed in the program in Australia in 2016 and came in fifth.

She said her success was even more impressive due to filming the show in freezing Wales.

Frankie highlighted Richard Madeley’s departure days after being rushed to A&E, saying, “Our series came with a lot of twists and turns, and I knew they were going to make it harder because last year they were. quite restricted with Covid, but the trials were so layered, which made them more difficult.

“My snake trial, that was what it was. But when Naughty Boy and I did the karaoke challenge, it wasn’t just about drinking the drinks, we also had to be covered in horrible stuff and be really cold.

“The living conditions were really tough so yeah I would say we had it really hard even with Richard who had to leave when he wasn’t feeling well, it was really a big thing for us. Every time someone left the camp, it was as if three people were renting, not one.

“And then the storm. When we had to go and come back and start over… it all kicked off to us.

During the show, fans thought the former popstar looked so glamorous because she broke the rules to bring a pair of tweezers into the camp.

But she told MailOnline that she begged ITV’s producers to give her lip balm after she suffered from the cold.

She added, “People said I looked like I had makeup on, but I didn’t. They are so strict that we only managed to get lip balm because everyone’s lips were so sore, but we had to beg and say ‘please, please, can -we have lip balm ”.

“My eyebrows… I would put soap on my toothbrush and brush my eyebrows – that was my thing!” Before the castle, I had my eyebrows rolled up and tattooed. I don’t wear makeup on my days off, but I still do my brows so that was my most important thing when I went.

The I’m A Celebrity finalists partied until 5am after the last show.

Danny, Simon and Frankie were joined for a kneeling session at a posh hotel by David Ginola.

Winner Danny, 30, admitted he hadn’t slept as he was interviewed about being crowned King of the Castle on Sunday night.

He said, “Blame David Ginola. “

Later, Coronation Street star Simon, 47, added: “We celebrated in style. We had a very good red wine, of course.

A source from the show said, “The four more than made up for lost time, enjoying the food and drink. It was a good kneeling.

“They had to stay until lunchtime to speak on TV shows like Good Morning Britain and This Morning, and then Frankie was supposed to be on Loose Women. As the family reunion had to wait, they decided to make the most of their last night together.

Simon was second, singer Frankie, 32, was third and football legend David, 54, was fourth in this year’s ITV series.

They all partied at the five star Palé Hall hotel in North West Wales after leaving Gwrych Castle.

The wine list includes £ 400 bottles of champagne and a 2004 vintage red wine at £ 400 a bottle.
