Spoilers for Emily in Paris season 2 to follow.

Emily’s star in Paris, Lily Collins, has previously speculated on her character’s age, but the latest batch of episodes finally gave a figure on Emily Cooper’s exact age.

The show hit Netflix on Wednesday morning, picking up shortly after the first season’s dramatic end, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) decided to stay in the French capital.

But as Emily tries to ignore her feelings for the chef, things get more complicated, leading to the birthday of the marketing genius.

One thing fans have been wondering in the meantime is the exact age of their new favorite American in Paris.

Lily, 32, gave her own opinion on the age of her alter-ego in an interview last year.

She said, “I don’t think we’ve ever given her a specific ‘number’ for her age, but I think she just graduated from college.

“Maybe it’s his first year after graduation. I mean she’s 22, ”Lily told Vogue.

“She has enough experience in her business in Chicago to earn the respect of her boss.

“She went to school for that, and she finished internships …”, added the star, apparently pushing back the idea that she had been educated to master’s level.

However, fans weren’t so sure about Emily, due to her academic credentials and industry experience, which meant she had to be at least two years older.

But eventually, the mystery of Emily’s age was solved in episode three of season two, on her birthday.

When Emily walks into a mall the message ’29 yo young, happy birthday @EmilyInParis! ‘ appears from one of his followers.

The Easter egg style moment flashes on the screen for a few seconds, but finally gives us our answer.

Emily is also inundated with birthday wishes from Camille (Camille Razat), her best friend Mindy (Ashley Park) and her coworkers.

Although Emily has decided to throw a fairly low-key party, with only her loved ones, things quickly get very tense when Camille makes a discovery.

The inevitable revelation of Gabriel’s feelings towards Emily finally comes out, meaning curtains – for now – for his friendship with Camille.

However, the main character also told Mindy that her last birthday was a “birthday nothing …”

This means that we hope we have a big 3-0 celebration for Emily in season three, promising even more fireworks than her last.
