I’m a celebrity… The bosses of Get Me Out Of Here have confirmed that the famous candidates have been removed from the castle.

ITV bosses released a statement saying, “As we get the production base back on track after suffering technical issues from the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle. “

Campmates will remain in quarantine to ensure they are safe from Covid until they can safely return to Gwyrch Castle.

It comes after Friday’s episode was the first to be pre-recorded amid the extreme weather conditions.

The show’s bosses confirmed on Saturday that there will be no new episodes this weekend due to technical issues caused by the storm.

They said in a statement: “Due to technical difficulties caused by extreme weather conditions in the region, there will be no new episodes of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! »This weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

“I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here!” will be replaced tonight and tomorrow night on ITV’s programming with compilation shows (voiced by Ant & Dec) featuring the best moments from the previous series. ‘

The show’s production base was heavily damaged by Storm Arwen, with tents destroyed, meaning all but essential staff were forced to leave.

The series got off to a rocky start with fellow campmate Richard Madeley, 65, forced to leave after falling ill in the early hours of Thursday morning.

He had to go to hospital for tests and that meant he had broken the Covid bubble and was unable to return to camp.

There were also concerns about other stars who have pulled out of the show, as Naughty Boy and Arlene Phillips have repeatedly threatened to leave in recent days.

It is not yet clear when the celebrities will return to camp, but they will be transferred to the castle once it is deemed safe.
