Analysts see it as the next big technological leap. The metaverse has been on everyone’s lips since the end of October 2021, when Facebook announced its name change – Meta – in direct connection with its investments in this area. Oxmose is a start-up that offers a collection of 3D NFTs of high definition celebrity avatars. Hyperrealistic avatars, thanks to images “scanned” by 76 cameras. Fans will be able to afford them with ethereum, a cryptocurrency. Founded in 2020 and based at Station F, Kinetix’s ambition is to simplify and accelerate the process of creating 3D content for the animator community so they can focus on the artistic part of their job.

Specialized in virtual, interactive and immersive musical experiences, Stage11 aims to reimagine the interactive musical experience by combining video games, mixed reality and digital collectibles. This new creative space, open and limitless, allows artists to invite their fans to live, play and co-create within their performances and their musical universes. Fans can not only discover and collect these objects in the form of NFTs (non-fungible tokens), but also remix them in order to edit and share their own creations, or even interact with their favorite artists. Founded in Paris at the end of 2020, Stage11 has already signed strategic partnerships with artists Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Snoop Dogg, Ne-Yo, Akon, Salif Gueye and the Institut français de la mode.

Recently, Komodal enabled nearly 595 EFREI students to participate in an orientation seminar in a metaverse. The objective was to guarantee them a key moment of orientation, remotely, in order to allow them to learn about the professions towards which they wish to orient themselves, to browse the majors and sectors that they must choose in M1 and M2 , while discovering the universe of the metaverse.

The Rennes start-up Simango has created a metaverse hospital for the training of health establishments. An augmented virtual hospital dedicated to training the nursing and medical staff of its 240 client establishments. Stated objective: to create an even more successful learning experience thanks to a digital, collaborative and evolving twin. Already having a good head start thanks to its virtual reality training modules, the company renamed MetaSimango, plans to raise funds to finalize the development of this virtual hospital which, in the long term, will certify training in the blockchain. .
