After two years without any face-to-face event, due to the health crisis, the Moulins branch of the IUT d’Allier resumed this Thursday with a physical meeting with companies, on the premises of the university campus.
The IUT Clermont Auvergne has launched an internship dating campaign on all of its sites. In Moulins, Thursday, this event brought together about twenty companies present in the district of Moulins: shops, banks, shops, among others, but also institutional players, a football club (the MYF), a performance hall (Isléa), the Air Force, the Moulins Youth Information Point, the Face Territory Bourbonnais entrepreneurs club, the Bourbonnais attractiveness agency …
All these local players met the second-year students of the Marketing Techniques DUT to discuss internship opportunities, but also work-study contracts, and even jobs.
“The second year students must do a two-month internship in April in May”, explains Claude Devoti, head of the TC department at the IUT. “And this year, we hope it will only be face-to-face, unlike last year. Students can fulfill multiple missions, on business development, marketing, communication, social media management, website creation, but also business development. We called on companies that are already taking interns, but also new ones ”.
Stellantis recruits to celebrate its hundred years
About twenty local or regional companies met the second-year students of the Marketing Techniques DUT.
Among the newcomers, the car manufacturer Stellantis (formerly PSA), present in Dompierre. “We are looking for interns in communication, in particular to organize the open houses that we are planning this year, to celebrate the hundred years of the Sept-Fons plant”, explains Myriam Denis, communication manager for the Bourbonnais site. “It is also about ensuring internal communication within the company, improving our visuals. I am already leaving with 3 CVs, even though I have just arrived! “.
“This moment of sharing allows us to strengthen the links between our IUT and the companies which had sometimes weakened a little because of the health crisis and to consolidate future partnerships on specific projects, work-study contracts and internships” , explains Claude Devoti. “It’s also an opportunity for students to discover another way of working. The event was indeed organized by the students themselves, who approached the companies, in particular by telephone, with the help of the first years. They also provided the welcome last night. “We contacted around fifty companies. We had missed these events, ”notes Antoine, a 2nd year student.

Open and Negotiating Doors
The companies made their needs known and left with the CVs of interested students.
Among its projects, the IUT will organize open doors on February 5 and Negociales on March 3. The IUT will organize one of the qualifying tests for this national trade negotiation competition, which will bring together 80 professionals and 140 students. This challenge has become a springboard towards professional life for the future salespeople who participate in it and a privileged place of recruitment for companies. The best students will be selected to participate in the national final, in Epinal, from March 22 to 25.
To be supported in the organization of these events, the second year students of the IUT have chosen a sponsor, Cyril Martin, director of economic development and local commerce at Moulins Communauté. The latter will provide them with advice and make his address book available to them.
