Created in 1989, the company HP Components, located in the Blactot industrial zone in Carentan-les-Marais (Some), passes under the direction of Pierre Le Pottier, young engineer.

Founded in 1898, HP Composants was first a manufacturer of carbon steel fittings and diversified its activities towards steel and stainless steel fittings. It distributes piping accessories for all types of industrial sectors under the impetus of Pascal Rioult, director for 20 years.

Having reached retirement age, the latter wanted to hand over and it is Pierre Le Pottier, 28-year-old engineer and former employee of Naval Group who takes over.

The 15 employees retained

“Supported and advised by Jean-Philippe Lewandowski, my father-in-law, well known in Carentan for having managed the Gel Manche company for 15 years, and with Pauline, my wife, now administrative and financial manager, I decided to get started. and to take over the company with its 15 employees. “

Pascal Rioult accompanies the brand new manager for several more months, “in order to pass on the company’s assets and its very valuable know-how to me”.

To avoid relocation

Pascal Rioult wanted to sell his business “to an individual rather than a large group, which would only have taken the know-how, to possibly relocate and, ultimately, close”.

The company transforms and produces more than 500 tonnes of steel and stainless steel per year for a large number of industrial and food-processing customers, among others. “The production tool is very efficient, which will allow us to continue our activity in the best conditions”, concludes the new manager.
