Since December 1, the Office for the Elderly of Elbeuf and its Region (OPAER) has moved to the town hall of Amfreville-Saint-Amand and now has the approval to work in the Eure.
“We are on duty, three mornings a week”, explains in her office, in the town hall of Amfreville-Saint-Amand, the director of the Office for the Elderly of Elbeuf and its Region (OPAER), Corinne Leveuf.
OPAER has existed for about fifty years. “We cover 17 municipalities in Seine-Maritime and our 120 employees take care of around 300 users,” she explains.
In addition to Roumois Seine
Living near Amfreville-Saint-Amand and aware of the problem of the lack of home help in the department of Eure, Corinne Leveuf has undertaken to settle in the territory, and the town hall of Amfreville-Saint- Amand offered to create an office for him, within the town hall.
“I found it very interesting that a structure like this was set up on our territory to provide a service to our seniors. Today there is sometimes a staff problem in Roumois Seine where our elders are in disarray, this allows us to provide a solution ”
“We come in addition to the home help service set up by the community of municipalities”, explains the director.
Human aid in the Eure
And for good reason, in less than a month on the territory, the company already has about fifteen requests in the Eure. “We cover the areas of Amfreville-Saint-Amand, Grand Bourgtheroulde, Neubourg, and Bourg-Achard. »Management can be done in direct contact or through a prescriber, such as social workers.
“Often, relatives call when they notice a loss of autonomy in their parent. Our carers can help with hygiene, meal preparation, cleaning, bedtime … ”
These services are intended for the elderly but also for people with disabilities.
On the occasion of its establishment in the Eure, the company recruits life assistants, domestic helpers and nursing assistants. “We have already found 4, and we are looking for more. “
OPAER’s offices at Amfreville-Saint-Amand town hall take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. By appointment at the office or at home, [email protected] or 07 85 93 51 41.
The OPAER is recruiting in the Eure caregivers, housekeepers and nursing assistants. To apply, contact Corinne Leveuf at [email protected] B permit required.
